Enhancing communication skills and problems-solving training
Following the program “Connecting and building leadership capacity” in July 2022, the Center for Development and Integration (CDI) launched a series of activities to improve skills for members of the Core Worker network. Considered as two of the important skills for employees to apply in life and be more active in community activities and at work, communication & problem solving skills are hence put into the 2022 learning curriculum.
The training “Enhancing communication & problem-solving skills” was held with the participation of nearly 30 core members of the workers’ network on September 17-18, 2022 in Hanoi. The training is within the framework of the project “Sustainable Textile Initiative: Changing Together”.
Mrs. Do Thi Bich Thuy – consultant with many years of experience in training on participation and soft skills, directly guides the training class. With the desire that participants take the initiative in the learning process, the training course is built on experiential learning method, instead of following the traditional training method, in which the the lecturer is the center, imparting knowledge to the participants through the lecture.
After 2 days of training, workers fully participate in the process of learning through direct experiencing, practicing, analysising and re-evaluating.. Many good suggestions to improve presentation skills; story telling and interviewing skill were made by participants themselves.
To be more confident in communicating or presenting in front of a crowd, you must prepare your content carefully, practice in front of a mirror before presenting, record and review your presentation. to adjust the volume, the method – Ms. Q, Bac Ninh shared.
Before coming to the training course, the network members wondered how to “communicate more fluently”, “have confident in communicating”, “tell a story that makes people excited and happy”, “presenting more persuasively”… by the end of the training class, many of the participants confidently presented in front of the class, knowing how to inspire and create interesting highlights for their presentation.
After this training, the core groups of workers will apply the skills learned in the implementation of a specific group activity in the locality.
