CDI organizes online communication for workers about Labor Code 2019
“We have to wait for 20 years period or old enough to enjoy the pension, but if one dies during that time, how will the pension be enjoyed, will it be lost?”
“I have quit my job and received unemployment insurance, but I have reserved a maternity leave period of 6 months, can I still receive maternity insurance?”
“My wife is 30 weeks pregnant, can she get the covid vaccine?”
Many questions have been raised by workers and consultants in online communication sessions held by CDI recently.
From July 24 to September 13, CDI has organized 7 online communication sessions for about 240 turns of employees currently working in industrial areas in Dong Anh (Hanoi), Hai Duong, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong. Room, Dong Nai, Vinh Phuc.
Topics covered include:
– New points of the Labor Code 2019 & Mechanisms for receiving and resolving employee complaints – 2 sessions.
– Rights and obligations of employees when they are stopped or lost their jobs due to Covid 19 and Resolution No. 68/NQ-CP on a number of policies to support employees facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic – 4 sessions.
– Communication on Covid-19 vaccine – 1 session.
These were activities within the framework of the projects “Business and Human Rights in Trade Relations and Global Supply Chain in Vietnam” and “Promoting the rights and voices of migrant workers, especially female workers, towards ensuring social security and better working conditions in industrial zones in Bac Ninh and Hai Duong provinces”.
Due to the epidemic situation, activities have been organized online to both ensure pandemic prevention and meet the needs of employees to access practical and up-to-date information.
Although only communicating via phone or computer screen, the workers interact enthusiastically with the organizers and the speakers, excitedly participating in warm-up games as well as asking questions for experts to answered.
