CDI Partners with Phu Tho Province on Green and Digital Transformation for Sustainable Agriculture
A significant milestone in provincial development efforts was marked by the workshop ‘Green and Digital Transformation Solutions for Low-emission Sustainable Agricultural Systems Meeting COP26 Net-Zero Commitments in Phu Tho Province,’ highlighting the pioneering role of the Center for Development and Integration (CDI). On February 14, 2025, the workshop was held at the Northern Mountainous Agriculture and Forestry Science Institute (NOMAFSI) in Phu Tho.
The event was jointly organized by CDI, the Green Technology Institute (GreenTech), NOMAFSI, and Phu Tho Union of Science and Technology Associations. The workshop aimed to enhance awareness and action on green and digital transformation opportunities in agriculture and forestry. It focused on training and technology transfer for carbon credits and green labeling, aligning with the government’s Net-Zero commitments at COP26.
A key outcome was the signing of a three-year cooperation agreement (2025-2027) between the Phu Tho Union of Science and Technology Associations (PUSTA), CDI, and GreenTech Institute. This partnership will deliver training programs and workshops on sustainable agriculture, circular economy, climate change response, and VietFarm and GlobalGap standards.
The workshop represents the beginning of Phu Tho’s ambitious journey toward green and digital agricultural transformation. With CDI’s support, along with engagement from government agencies, local communities, and businesses, Phu Tho is advancing toward a sustainable and prosperous agricultural future.
