Enhance sustainable agricultural production and consumption

The delegation of the Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine and the Irish Embassy visited the high-tech Agricultural Farm in Quoc Oai

On the morning of September 8, 2022, the delegation of the Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine and the Irish Embassy visited the high-tech Agricultural Farm in Phu Cat Commune, Quoc Oai Distric, Hanoi. The Center for Development and Integration (CDI) built and developed the farm with the support of the Embassy of Ireland.

Mr. Martin Heydon members of Congress, Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine; Mr. John McCullagh – Ambassador of Ireland to Vietnam; Mr. Brendan Gleeson – The Secretary General in the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, and members of the delegation had the opportunity to experience how CDI promotes sustainable agricultural production in Vietnam by promoting and supporting smallholder apply VietFarm standards in agricultural production, market network, traceability and land reclamation. 

The delegation had the opportunity to talk with farmers with the same motivation and passion for sustainable agricultural production who have accompanied CDI in recent years. With the stories about the inspiration, passion and experiences of farmers in sustainable agricultural production, CDI helped the mission to gain more information about agricultural production in Vietnam, as well as evaluate been effectively supported by the Embassy of Ireland for CDI in recent times.
