After participating in the course, trainees learned breeding techniques, nutrition for dairy cows, common diseases in farming and how to prevent them, the production of biological buffers, and livestock waste management.

These trainees would be the core of the local veterinary work. With the knowledge they have learned, they would guide groups of households in planning to build barns, choose varieties, mix feed at the most reasonable cost, guide, and support households in the early detection of diseases in cows and take action as soon as possible.

An important part of the training was learning how to minimize emissions in dairy farming. Trainees grasped how to build the barn and use padding in cow breeding, which helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Waste after management could be used as an effective fertilizer for plants, bringing good quality yield, reducing the fertilizer’s cost, reducing pesticides, and protecting the living environment, among others.
